He said four of the suspects had previous records from crime and drug related offences.
Six people, including two women, believed to be members of a drug syndicate, were arrested in raids conducted by the Pahang police last Monday.
Pahang police chief Datuk Rosli Ab Rahman said the suspects, aged between 27 and 38, were arrested in raids conducted in Temerloh, Lanchang, Pekan and Jengka, during which the police also seized various types of drugs, worth RM90,000.
"The drugs, comprising 1.4kg of heroin; 1,000 ecstasy pills and 19 gm of syabu, were found in their house and in a nearby rubber plantation," he said.
He told reporters at the Pahang police contingent headquarters that the police also seized RM2,000 and seven vehicles, consisting of two Mitsubishi Pajero, a Mitsubishi Triton, a Ford Ranger, a Suzuki Swift, a Perodua Kelisa and a Perodua Kenari.
Also present were Pahang deputy police chief Datuk Azri Ahmad and State Narcotic Criminal Investigation Department head Supt Lam Thiam Huat.
Rosli said the raids were conducted with the cooperation of the Bukit Aman narcotic Criminal Investigation Department and the Special Tactical Intelligence Narcotics Group (STING).
