Six individuals believed to be IS militants charged

Six individuals believed to be members of the Islamic State militant groups were charged with promoting terrorism today.
Six individuals believed to be members of the Islamic State militant groups were charged with promoting terrorism at the Alor Setar Session Court, Kedah this morning.
They are accused to be part of the 17 who were detained on Apr 5 after police foiled their plans to kidnap a VVIP and attack pubs and discos.
The accused are Abu Daud Murad Halimmuddin, Hadharami Hashim, Mohd Yusri Mohd Yusof, Ali Saifuddin, Nor Azmi Jailani and Murad Halimmuddin Hassan.
The accused are aged between 25 and 49 years.
Two of the accused are members of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM).
One of the accused, Murad Halimuddin was a senior member of a Malaysia militant group which was involved in armed conflicts in Afghanistan, Sulawesi and Syria.
