Six policemen rearrested on separate extortion case

Six policemen who were freed on police bail by a magistrate's court here Tuesday over an extortion case were re-arrested outside the court in connection with another case.
State CID chief Datuk Dev Kumar said the re-arrest was to facilitate investigations into a separate extortion case involving two businessmen.
At a media conference here, he said the policemen aged between 25 and 53 were detained after the businessmen alleged in their police reports in Batu Kawa and Sematan that a group of policemen extorted money from them.
