SIX things you need to know about the Peugeot 308 THP Active

After the successful launch of the Peugeot 308 THP in April, Nasim has decided to bring in another variant known as the Peugeot 308 THP Active. Nasim is calling this the more affordable and less sporty version of the 308 but we are calling it the 308 base variant.

The car is now open for booking but first here’s what the 308 THP Active is made up of:

The Active retains most of the 308 THP’s styling save for the front bumper and wears the smaller 17-inch wheels instead. You get halogen projector headlamps with levelling but the LED daytime running lights and fog lamps are transferred over to the 308 Active.
The same Aisin-made efficient AT6 with Quickshift Technology six-speed automatic gearbox from the normal 308 is also available in the Active. When paired together with the award winning Turbo High Pressure (THP) engine, the 308 Active churns out 148bhp and 240Nm of torque.
Inside is where the differences are most noticeable, the i-Cockpit still retains the 9.7-inch HD Multifunction Touchscreen but you get premium Metax fabric seats to recline on instead of Alcantara. The Panoramic sunroof has also been removed from the Active but the dual-zone climate control and automatic electric parking brake is retained.

The Active also blasts music from six Arkamy speakers with multimedia capabilities to connect to devices.
Peugeot has transferred all the safety features in the previously introduced 308 to the 308 Active so there is you still get the entire suite of safety features like Anti-Skid Regulation (ASR) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) to name a few.
The 308 THP Active comes complete with five-year warranty with unlimited mileage together with Nasim’s 24-hour Peugeot Assistance service and complimentary access to the Peugeot Lounge at Subang Airport and Peugeot Privilege membership.

Nasim estimates the Peugeot 308 THP Active’s selling price at RM120,888, that’s almost RM12,000 difference with the normal 308 THP. Choose from a range of five colours: Artense Grey, Bianca White, Nera Black, Ruby Red and Mocha Brown.
