Six-year-old plunges to death from 13th floor apartment in Putrajaya

A six-year-old boy plunged to his death from the 13th floor of an apartment at Precinct 5 here last night.
Putrajaya district police chief ACP Abdul Razak Abdul Majid said prior to the incident around 11 pm, Megat Arif Hussein Megat Irwan and his parents had just returned from having dinner nearby.
"The boy had fallen asleep and his father carried him up before locking and leaving the unit to get his wheelchair-bound mother downstairs," he said when contacted here today.
A neighbour discovered the body and informed the victim's father.
"The father sent the victim to Putrajaya Hospital but he succumbed to the impact about three hours later," said Abdul Razak.
He said the post mortem revealed the victim's death as internal bleeding due to injury from a high-rise fall.
The case has been classified as sudden death.
