A sixth Malaysian pilgrim dies in the holy land
A sixth Malaysian pilgrim, Masitah Mohamed Noor, 70 has died of heart ailment in Makkah.
Masitah from Kampung Laut, Lenggong, Perak who passed away at 2:45 am on Friday (Oct 4) at the local An Noor Hospital has been buried at the Syara’ek cemetery here in Makkah.
To date, three male and three female pilgrims have died in the holy land during the current 1434 Haj pilgrimage season.
Up to 5 October, a total of 19,507 Malaysian pilgrims have arrived in Makkah. A total of 56 flights have arrived in Saudi Arabia since the first group arrived back in early September. This leaves only six haj flights to ferry the remainder of Malaysia’s full contingent of 22, 320 pilgrims in total.
