FATHER to Nuriey Nadhirah Ruslan, the 7-year-old schoolgirl who succumbed to snake bite yesterday, has requested to everyone to not spread rumours of her death.
Ruslan Gazali, in a Facebook status uploaded a few hours ago, clarified that the story about his daughter being alive during the final rites, was not true.
The deceased body appeared to have hiccups, but it was suggested that the condition was probably a reaction to air circulation.
Ruslan also pleaded for people to stop sharing his daughter's photo on social media.
He was referring to a photo of Nuriey, believed to be taken after she was pronounced dead. The photo has been circulating on the Internet since yesterday.
The grieving father also confirmed that the snake has not been caught, refuting rumours on social media.
Ruslan, who is working in a logistic department at a company, also conveyed his gratitude for the outpouring sympathy, adding that he and his family have accepted the tragedy as fate.
