So who drove the Volkswagen Beetle home?

Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad’s second KenTrade Challenge has come to an end after four intense weeks of trading. The whole idea of the contest was to bring awareness to online share trading on Bursa Malaysia as the challenge was designed to simulate real life trading and was based on real time market data.

The final round of the challenge of the challenge was held at the Bursa Malaysia Listing Gallery where a four-hour Face-Off Challenge was held to determine the final winner and the new owner of the Volkswagen Beetle offered up by proud sponsors Volkswagen Malaysia. Mr Sim Yu Chin, 19, from the student category has emerged as the grand winner of the Face-Off Challenge.

Mr Sim is one of 19 finalists from both the public and student category who achieved the highest percentage portfolio growth in the preliminary round which ran for four weeks from 1st to 30th October 2015. Mr Lam Jun Wah came in as the first runner up to Sim while Mooi Weng Hou came in third after them.

As the winner, Sim will have the honour of driving the Volkswagen Beetle 1.2TSi worth RM135,888 home. Second place Lam won himself RM3000 cash in trust account while Mooi will take home RM2000. All three winners will also get to enjoy a year’s worth of online trading brokerage and a year’s subscription of The Star ePaper subscription.

Kenanga is proud to announce that the second year of the KenTrade Challenge concluded with much success with 18,000 entries received, 6000 more than the previous year’s 12,000 entries. The Grand Prize was handed out after the Face-Off challenge, 24 participants from the weekly challenge were also awarded with prizes.
