Pulai member of Parliament, Datuk Nur Jazlan has characterised PKR’s plan to hold hajat prayers soon after the judgement meted upon Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as ‘denying fate’.

He said, the fate of the Opposition leader will not change even after the prayers are held.

“Anwar Ibrahim’s fate will not change even after the prayers. If it has happened, then it is fate, if they do it in hope for him to be released, then they are denying fate,” said Nur Jazlan when contacted by Astro AWANI.

Commenting on the party’s action which intends to file a motion for the Sodomy II in Parliament, he said that this shows their disregard for the country’s judiciary system.

“I think they do not respect the country’s judiciary system which makes independent decisions,” said Nur Jazlan.

Nur Jazlan also questioned why PKR members were obsessed with Anwar, as a party’s struggle does not only depend on one person alone.

Thus, he characterised their obsession as running out of political ideas as they had no one except for Anwar.

He said the support towards Anwar is seen to be dwindling compared to when he was arrested in 1998.

“Anwar now does not have emotional connection with the people. The younger generation, many do not know Anwar. They are deliberately raising the emotions of the people... the rakyat are not interested,” said Nur Jazlan.

Nur Jazlan also predicted that Pakatan Rakyat would be facing hard times ahead as the relationship between its allies are seen as a ‘marriage of convenience’
