Sosilawati's daughter thankful for judgement on mother's murderers
The daughter of cosmetics millionairess Datuk Sosilawati Lawiya today expressed relief that the trial on her mother's murder was finally over after three years.
Erni Dekritawati Yuliana Buhari, 28, the eldest of six siblings, said she was satisfied with the court's decision handed down to former lawyer N. Pathmanabhan and three farm workers, T. Thilaiyalagan, R. Matan and R. Kathavarayan.
"I wish to thank the court, media and Malaysians who had given us their support since the death of my mother. No words can express my gratitude," she said when met by reporters at the Shah Alam Court complex here today.
The four were found guilty and sentenced to death by hanging by the High Court today for murdering Sosilawati, 47, bank officer Noorhisham Mohamad, 38, lawyer Ahmad Kamil Abdul Karim, 32, and Sosilawati's driver Kamaruddin Shamsuddin, 44.
They committed the offence at Lot 2001, Jalan Tanjong Layang, Tanjung Sepat in Banting between 8.30 pm and 9.45 pm on Aug 30, 2010.
