South Thailand joint working group peace dialogue

The second meeting of the Joint Working Group Peace Dialogue Process (JWG-PDP) was held here to discuss approaches towards solving issues of violence and stability in South Thailand.
The Thai delegation was led by Lt Gen Paradon Pattanabut and the BRN delegation by Ustaz Hassan Taib while Datuk Seri Zamzamin Hashim acted as the facilitator on behalf of the Malaysian government.
Paradorn had the opportunity to exchange views with the BRN delegation and an agreement on the Terms of reference for Peace Dialogue was reached.
According to a statement from the Joint Working Group Peace Dialogue Process secretariat, both sides also exchanged views and information pertaining to the issue of violence in an open and sincere manner.
Discussion was also focused on finding ways and means to resolve the issue, facilitate in resolving the problem and achieving justice.
Both delegations will report to their respective higher authorities and agreed to meet again on April 29, 2013.
