Special police team to probe claims of ganja in e-cigarettes

A special police investigation team has been set up to conduct thorough investigations into the alleged use of ganja extracts to flavour electronic cigarettes (e-cig or e-cigarette).

Bukit Aman Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department director, Datuk Seri Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Shariff said the team was formed to gather information and investigate as to what extend it has been used.

"We will look at it from the legal aspect and will take firm action against these people if it's true," he said in a press conference at Bukit Aman here, today.

Recently, a local newspaper reported the existence of e-cigarettes flavoured with a blend of ganja extract as the main ingredient.
