The Special Task Force will investigate to determine the authenticity of the documents and other materials related to 1Malaysia Development Berhad received from The Edge Media Group yesterday, a police source said today.
"The report on the outcome of the investigation will be submitted to the attorney-general," the source said.
Yesterday, The Edge handed over documents, printed e-mails and hard discs on 1MDB in its possession to the Commercial Criminal Investigation Department in Bukit Aman.
On Monday, The Edge Financial Daily published a four-page article focusing on the joint venture between 1MDB and PetroSaudi International.
