A Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) candidate in Kedah was reportedly missing after she allegedly followed a male acquaintance whom she just met through social app, WeChat.
Noor Azliza Abdull Rahim, 17, was reportedly missing after her elder sister, Noor Azlina, 23 returned home only to discover her sister's bedroom was left ajar and empty.
Their mother, Nooraini Hussain when met by Astro AWANI today plead for the safe return of her teenage daughter.
“Come home, adik, have pity on me. Please come home,” said a tearful Nooraini when met at her residence here today.
According to Noor Azlina, her sister is a student of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Pantai in Kuala Kedah and is expected to sit for her SPM examinations end of this month.
The day she went missing, Noor Azlina found her sister absent from school. She thought her sister was feeling under the weather.
Subsequently, Noor Azlina lodged a police report at the Kota Setar police headquarters on August 1.
Her relentless search continued with efforts to contact her sister’s schoolmates. Attempts to contact Noor Azliza’s mobile phone also turned futile.
Noor Azliza’s father, Abdull Rahim Yahaya, 47, also embarked on a massive hunt around Alor Setar but the search led him to a dead end.
“At this point in time, I have searched everywhere, at alleys, entertainment outlets and places where youngsters hang out until the wee hour of the morning but she is nowhere to be found,” he added.
