SPM students traumatised by thunderstorms

Although still traumatised by the thunderstorm which hit her family yesterday afternoon, one candidate of the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) from Kampung Sungai Nonang, Simpang Empat near here still attended the examination on Thursday.
Nurul Atikah Jamal, 17, a student of the Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tunku Abd Aziz, Simpang Empat near here sat for the History Paper 3, yesterday.
The third of five siblings said she was able to answer the examination questions well even though she was traumatised by the incident which befell her family.
Speaking to reporters when met at her house here today, Nurul Atikah said she was lucky as her friends and teachers were supportive of her during the exam.
She added that she was now staying at her friend's house in Taman Bersatu, Simpang Empat near here as her home had been badly damaged in the thunderstorm at 2.45pm yesterday.
