Stable Johor govt can only be achieved through the wisdom of it's people - PM Ismail Sabri

He said Johor is very fortunate in terms of economy as the state is nearest to Singapore which made it the centre of focus and investment.

"(Therefore) we need a stable Johor government as a stable Johor government would boost the economy for the well-being of the people and a stable government depends on the wisdom of all of you," he said.

He was speaking at the presentation of 2022 Johor level Prosperous Malaysian Family Rukun Tetangga Community (KRT) grants at Felda Lok Heng Barat Community Sports Hall here today.

Taking the example of the previous political situation, Ismail Sabri said various events had occurred due to political instability which led to the appointment of three Prime Ministers so far.

"Today, the government at the federal level is stable after the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) (with the opposition).

"This (stable government) was cited after the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah) was satisfied with the political stability now," said the Prime Minister.

Also present was the National Unity Minister cum Kota Tinggi MP, Datuk Halimah Mohamed Sadique.

The Election Commission had set polling day for the Johor state election for this Saturday.
