Starting end of Feb, this is the journey of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Program

KUALA LUMPUR:500,000 frontline workers will receive the COVID-19 vaccine by the end of this month.
Here are the things you need to know about the National COVID-19 Immunisation Program so far:
1) First Phase from February to April 2021: 500,000 frontline workers will receive the COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer and BioNTech companies.
2) Second Phase from April to August 2021: 9.4 million senior citizens and vulnerable people aged 60 and above, who suffer from morbidity problems such as heart disease, obesity, diabetes and high blood pressure as well as people with disabilities (OKU).
3) Third Phase from May 2021 until February 2022: Adults aged 18 years and above.
4) 80 percent of the country's population or 26.5 million individuals will receive the vaccine for free.
5) Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Khairy Jamaluddin, was appointed as the Coordinating Minister for the National COVID-19 Immunisation Program.
6) More than 600 storage centres which are also vaccination centres will be opened nationwide involving public, private health facilities, stadiums, convention centres, public halls and universities.
