The Kuala Lumpur Enforcement Branch of the Pharmacy Department made a massive seizure of various stimulant drugs and sex toys worth RM1.25 million from a shop house in Jalan Pasar, here today.
Branch chief Adnan Salimin said they found the items in a 2.30pm raid of the premises.
He said the items were believe to be for sale to pavement traders at Jalan Pudu, Lorong Haji Taib, Bukit Bintang, Jalan Petaling and traditional medicine shops in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
Adnan advised the public to refrain from buying medicine at such places or from night markets as they were not registered with the Ministry of Health and could endanger their health.
"The use of men's health medicine or sexual stimulants contain 'sildenafil' and 'tadalafi'. Without a doctor's prescription it could cause side effects such as low blood pressure, muscle cramps and eyesight problems," he said.
The case is being investigated under the Sale of Drugs Act 1952 and Poisons Act 1952.
