The search and rescue team for the missing seven Orang Asli students of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Pos Tohoi has found a new lead with the discovery of a stocking, believed to belong to one of the students today.
The students have been missing for 10 days.
Gua Musang police chief Supt Saiful Bahri Abdullah said the white stocking was found at about 11.30am in a forest area, about an hour walk from the school.
The finding of the stocking gave us a new lead to continue the search, he said when contacted by Bernama.
The students, including a boy, age between seven and 11, ran away from their hostel last Aug 23 for fear they would be scolded by the teacher as they were found to have gone to a river earlier to bath.
Saiful Bahri, who is the commander of the search and rescue operation, said they would intensify the search until the students were found.
He said operation involved 65 personnel, comprising the police, Fire and Rescue Department, the Civil Defence Department and the People's Volunteer Corp.
