UMNO Youth leader Khairy Jamaluddin has called on all quarters to stop resorting to racial provocation.

Khairy said UMNO Youth members are free to join any rally but stressed that action must be taken against any quarter found to have acted against the law.
“As long as they don’t break the law, we don’t stop them from taking part in any rally or activity,” said the Youth and Sports minister.
Khairy who declined to comment on the Red Shirt rally said he preferred police to investigate the matter.
On Sept 16, Himpunan Rakyat Bersatu or the Red Shirt rally was organised by the National Silat Federation in protest of the Bersih 4 gathering Aug 29 and 30.
While the rally went on smoothly at Padang Merbok, Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) personnel were forced to take action by releasing water cannons on the rally participants at Petaling Street allegedly after continued provocation.
