Psychologist stated that human beings in general require stress, to a certain degree in their life. This kind of stress will help us to focus and think better, but, too much of something can be detrimental.
The alarming findings from a survey carried out by National Health Morbidity Survey (NHMS) in 2011 where the number of children with poor mental health is on the rise. In Malaysia, 20 per cent of students aged between 5 and 15 years old suffer from mental health issues.
Teachers play a major role in promoting good mental health in school. However, unconditional love and undivided time and attention from parents would be the most crucial in managing life challenges faced by children.
