Strong stench led hospital employee to human feotus

It was a normal day for a cleaner until she discovered the remains of a foetus wrapped in an untied plastic bag at thee Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB) here this morning.
Nor Hanizam Idris, 46, who is a part-time employee at the hospital said she discovered the remains following a strong stench emanating from a rubbish bin near the cafeteria of the hospital.
It was 10.55am and Nor Hanizam was doing her daily routines, cleaning the area with several other employees.
“I was emptying the bins, when a plastic bag fell from one of them (bins). I was shocked when an object rolled out of the plastic bag resembled a human feotus,” said Nor Hanizam.
Following the discovery, Nor Hanizam lodged a report at the hospital police beat.
Ipoh Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sum Chang Keong said, the foetus remains were sent to the HRPB Forensic Department for post-mortem.
"A security officials saw a couple bickering near the area where the foetus was discovered," said Chang Keong.
Members of the public with information of the incident are urged to come forward to assist investigations.
