Strong winds, rough seas to persist until Tuesday
The Meteorology Department says strong winds of between 40 and 50 kmph and strong waves as high as 3.5m are dangerous to small boats, sea recreational activities and sports. - Filepic
Category One strong winds and rough seas in the waters off Sandakan, Kudat, West Coast and interiors of Sabah, as well as the Federal Territory of Labuan is expected to continue until Tuesday (Oct 20).
The Meteorology Department, in a statement today, said strong winds of between 40 and 50 kilometre per hour (kmph) and strong waves as high as 3.5 metres are dangerous to small boats, sea recreational activities and sports.
Meanwhile, strong south-westerly winds of up to 50kmph with waves as high as 3.5 metres is also expected during the same period in the waters off Condore, Reef North, Layang-Layang, Palawan, Labuan and Sulu.
Such a weather condition is dangerous to small boats.
