Style Your Short Hair For The Summer Weather!

Forget the long bohemian tresses and beachy soft waves; the arty slicked back look is THE hair trend people are jumping on the bandwagon with in light of the heat-wave we are currently experiencing. In this day and age, we aren’t exactly dying to spend more time on braided updos and other hairstyles that require extra time or effort, so rather than make things complicated, opt for this effortless yet sophisticated hairdo that is pretty much hassle-free. The wet, slicked back look has been seen sported by many celebrities including Rita Ora, Carey Mulligan and Jennifer Lawrence and we think it looks incredibly chic and modern.

This hairstyle also lengthens a low forehead and is a carefree short hairdo that will give you the extra edge you need to look unconventionally trendy. It’s sultry and simple to style, so just blow dry your hair backwards using a round bristle brush to create volume at the roots and then use some form of wax or reconstructive oil to pull back and fix the hair. Proceed to comb your hair up and backwards starting at the forehead. Anchor the style just spraying the hair with finishing hairspray to tame flyaway strands and to keep your hair in place.

On the runway, Balmain models hit the Spring/Summer 2015 catwalk with stylish wet-look, slicked-back hair and that is the perfect way to style locks straight out of the water, too. This summer hairdo is great for anything from a pixie to a shoulder-length bob, just take a look at Marion Cotillard’s slicked back almost shoulder-length hairdo – so chic.

Nothing looks more futuristic than wet hair with strong brows and a nude lip. Celebrities like Emma Watson and Shailene Woodley have rocked this look on the red carpet and you should give it a try for the summertime. It gets your hair out of your face and shows off your bone structure to let your facial features take centre stage.
