Subaru spins into the Guinness World Record
Thumb through the Guinness World Records and you’ll come across with some of the weirdest things that humans do just to get their name inked into the book. This one, though, isn’t so weird. With the Subaru BRZ as his weapon of choice, stunt driver Alastair Moffat has just set a new World Record for the ‘Tightest 360-degrees Spin’. Alastair is no stranger to this kind of thing having already set records like the Tightest Reverse Parallel Park and Tightest Parallel Park. So, yes, he likes tight spaces.
The previous record for the same feat was measured at 2.5m; Alastair shaved off 25cm to set the record in his name. To accomplish the feat, all he needed to do was to disengage traction control and ABS.
If you’ve been acing Autocrossess and Gymkhanas, maybe you’d like to give this one a try. Let us know if you do.
