Subramaniam's press sec killed in car crash
The press secretary of a Cabinet Minister died following an accident involving three vehicles at KM232 of the North South Expressway near Rembau Thursday morning (9am).
Sivam Balan, 35, died as he was on his way to Alor Gajah, Malacca to meet Human Resource Minister Datuk Seri Dr S.Subramaniam.
Also killed in the fatal accident was another ministry staff who was driving the Nissan Xtrail they were in. Their bodies were sent to the Tampin Hospital.
Subramaniam was at a loss of words when contacted by Astro Awani.
“I was supposed to meet Sivam at an event in Alor Gajah. I was from Segamat while Sivam was from Kuala Lumpur with the other staff,” said Subramaniam.
“When I heard of the news (accident), I quickly headed to the Tampin Hospital.”
Subramaniam is unsure to how the accident occurred and is still waiting for police to wrap up their investigation over the incident.
