Sultan Muhammad V graces 'ibadah korban' in Kota Bharu

Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V today graced the 'ibadah korban' (ritual of sacrifice) in conjunction with Aidiladha at the Kompleks Islam Jubli Perak Sultan Ismail Petra, Panji, here today.
Sultan Muhammad V personally performed the slaughtering of three of the 62 cattle earmarked for the ritual.
The event organised by the Kelantan Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIK) was also attended by Kelantan Regent Tengku Dr Muhammad Faiz Petra Ibni Sultan Ismail Petra and the royal family.
Also present were State Industrial, Commerce, Social Integration and Entrepreneur Development Datuk Anuar Tan Abdullah, State Mufti Datuk Shukri Mohamad and State Police chief Datuk Hasanuddin Hassan.
According to MAIK deputy president Dr Nik Mohd Azlan Abdul Hadi, His Majesty, the Regent and the Kelantan royal family had donated 27 of the cattle.
He said the meat were then distributed to 1,500 to 2,000 eligible recipients, comprising mostly the poor.
