The book titled, His Royal Highness: Reflections and Recollections which was held at Concorde Hotel here turned sombre as the guests who attended the event bowed their heads in prayer.
The Sultan in his speech attributed his achievement and success to the key figure in his life -- his late father, Almarhum Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah Al-Maghfur-Lah.
His voice trembling, Sultan Nazrin sang praises to his late father, who was the Sultan of Perak.
The Perak Sultan also said that the success he has achieved, to date is a gift from Allah SWT.
The ceremony, launched by Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, was held in conjunction with Sultan Nazrin’s enthronement as the 35th Ruler of Perak which will be held in Kuala Kangsar, Perak on May 6.
The Perak sultan was accompanied by his consort, Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim and mother, Tuanku Bainun.
Before ending his speech, the Perak Sultan urged those in the audience to recite a prayer for his late father, family members, teachers who had passed on.
