Sultan Nazrin Shah launches Photo Exhibition

The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah graced the Exhibition of Photo Collection on the Ruler in conjunction with the Enthronement of the Sultan Perak XXXV at the Dewan Bandaran Ipoh, here this morning.
The Sultan and Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim signed the Photo Book entitled 'Buku Bergambar Menyusur Riwayat Sempena Pertabalan Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Sultan Perak XXXV', which tells the history of Sultan Nazrin Shah, before entering the exhibition hall.
At the ceremony, Sultan Nazrin Shah launched the Exhibition on Photo Collection, First Day Cover and 'Buku Hikayat Misa Melayu' in conjunction with his enthronement.
The exhibition, organised by the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia and the Information Department which began today until June 4, will be open to the public from 10am until 7pm every day.
There are 14 segments featured in the exhibition, including the 'Mewarisi Takhta Kerajaan', Knowledge World, Various Roles and Responsibilities as well as 'Takhta Disandang Rakyat Disayang'.
Accompanying the royal couple were their children, Raja Azlan Muzaffar Shah who is also the Raja Kechil Besar Perak, and Raja Nazira Safya.
Others who attended the exhibition included the Raja Muda of Perak, Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa and Raja Puan Besar Perak Raja Nor Mahani Raja Shahar Shah, Raja Di-Hilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzulkarnain Sultan Idris serta Raja Puan Muda Perak Tunku Soraya Sultan Abdul Halim.
Also present were the Minister of Communications and Multimedia Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir, Bernama Chairman Datuk Abdul Rahman Sulaiman, Bernama General Manager Datuk Zulkefli Salleh and Bernama Editor-in-Chief Datuk Zakaria Abdul Wahab.

Sultan Nazrin Shah and Tuanku Zara Salim spent about 45 minutes visiting the exhibition.
Also displayed at the exhibition were photographs of historical buildings in Perak such as Istana Iskandariah (Iskandariah Palace), Masjid Ubudiah (Ubudiah Mosque), Maktab Melayu Kuala Kangsar (MCKK) (Malay College Kuala Kangsar) and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan King Edwards VII in Taiping.
The exhibition also provided a book corner on the monarchy which was brought from the Bernama Library and Perak State Library.
There is also a 'red carpet' section outside the display room to enable visitors to take photographs beside the large photograph of Sultan Nazrin Shah and Tuanku Zara Salim.
Visitors taking photographs at the exhibition can also print them free of charge at the Bernama stall up to 600 pieces only.
About 500,000 visitors are expected to visit the exhibition.
