Sultan of Selangor expected to return home on Aug 23

The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah will cut short his holidays abroad and return home on Aug 23.

This was confirmed by sources from the Selangor Palace when contacted by Bernama today.

He was initially scheduled to return home on Aug 27.

Earlier, the Sultan had told the Selangor Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim not to make any statement on his position as the Menteri Besar until his return on Aug 27.

Abdul Khalid said that while waiting for the return of the Ruler, he would continue to discharge his duty as the menteri besar together with the four State Executive Councillors from PAS.
