Sungai Golok above danger level, warning issued to residents

Residents, especially those living near riverbanks have been told to be prepared for the possibility of floods as the water level of Sungai Golok in Rantau Panjang has risen above the danger level in some areas following heavy since three days ago.

According to the state government's official portal, the water level recorded at 9am was at 9.02 metres, which was above the danger level of 9 metres.

The reading at Jenob, Tanah Merah was at the precautionary level of 21.6 metres.

The water levels of Sungai Kelantan at Tangga Krai and Sungai Lebir in Tualang were also reported to have risen.

It is overcast sky in Kelantan in the morning with intermittent rain especially in the interior areas.
