All activities involving swimming pool recreation, cinema and meetings will be allowed from July 1.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, however, the consent was subject to certain terms and compliance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
He said swimming activities were allowed in public swimming pools, hotels, condos, gated communities as well as private pools.
"The prerequisites for each pool must be to provide a lifeguard and a monitor or supervisor to ensure the safety and the number of users other than a controlled time of usage.
"For cinema, theatre and live events, it is only allowed to operate in a closed hall with no more than 250 individuals," he said at a press conference here on Monday.
In the same development, Ismail Sabri said the government had also agreed to allow meetings, conferences, seminars, courses and training.
He said the organization would have to abide by the SOP, which included a total of no more than 250 participants.
"Basically, this agreement covers all organizations registered with the Registrar of Societies (ROS), the Office of the Malaysian Sports Commissioner and the Registrar of Youth Organizations (ROY) to hold general meetings and other meetings.
"This authorization also covers all meetings, including general meetings of companies registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).
"In addition, cooperatives registered under the Malaysian Cooperatives Commission (SKM), associations registered under the Farmers' Organization Board (LPP) and the Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) are allowed to hold meetings including general meetings," he said.
