Syabas activates ERP in Klang and Shah Alam

KUALA LUMPUR: Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) has activated its Emergency Response Plan (ERP) in Klang and Shah Alam at noon yesterday following a burst pipe, causing water supply disruption to 5,921 consumers.
Syabas Corporate Communication and Public Affairs Department assistant general manager Priscilla Alfred said the company had appointed a contractor to identify the location and cause of the burst pipe.
However, repair works could not be done immediately as the location of the burst pipe has yet to be identified, she said in a statement here today.
She said Syabas would provide the necessary assistance, including opening of two service centres, at the Pulau Ketam jetty and the Sungai Lima jetty.
