Syed Mior murder: Police identifies suspects skin colour and clothes

Police have identified the skin colour and the clothes worn by the two suspects who are being hunted by police in relation to the shooting of a nasi kandar restaurant owner, Syed Amen Jainul Abidin.
Penang Northeast District police chief ACP Mior Farid Alathrash Wahid said the lead was obtained from a video footage of closed circuit television (CCTV) in the surrounding area.
“The shooter is in his late 20s, fair while the pillion rider has a dark complexion. They were in simple clothes; long pants, t-shirt and I believe that they are locals,” said Mior Farid in a press conference held here, today.
Mior Farid also reminded the public not to make any speculations in connection to the case as the motive of the incident is still under investigation.
“There were some comments which stated that this was done by RTD (Road Transport Department) officer following an incident where the victim who had once argued with the officer. The victim had been charged in court following his action.
“The case is still ongoing,” said Mior Farid.
Mior Farid was commenting on the speculations which alleged that the victim’s death was connected to the police report made towards RTD.
Syed Amen Jainul Abidin, 46, was shot from a close range when his car, a Mercedes Benz had stopped in front of a Ducati show room at about 3.30am Thursday.
The victim died on the spot after being struck in the head and body by five bullets.
