The tabling of the Auditor-General's Final Report on 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) scheduled tomorrow, has been postponed.
PAC Chairman Datuk Hassan Arifin said this is because many members of the panel are currently abroad, some performing the Umrah and some are attending other important matters.
"The tabling of the Auditor-General's Final Report on 1MDB scheduled for February 24 (Wednesday) and 25 (Thursday) has been postponed to a date that will be informed later," he said in a statement on Tuesday.
Hasan said it is important to have all PAC members present during the tabling of the Auditor-General's Final Report.
"Therefore, the new date for the tabling of the Auditor-General's Final Report on 1MDB is expected to be held on the first week of March 2016," he said.
It is learned that this is the second time the tabling of the report was delayed, where the tabling on December 17 was also postponed.
The PAC said it was because the National Audit Department needed to update certain information.
