Tabung Haji introduces deposit-taking service through JomPAY

KUALA LUMPUR:Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) has introduced a deposit-taking service through JomPAY, an online fund transfer service, as part of its digital initiative to provide convenience to its depositors.
Executive director of operations Mustakim Mohamad said depositors could transfer funds from their bank savings or current account to their TH savings account through existing internet banking platform anytime and anywhere with JomPAY.
“Depositors do not have to make any registration to use this facility and it is absolutely free of any charges,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.
Currently, he said almost 80 per cent of transactions at TH were carried out using online channels.
The JomPAY Biller Code for Tabung Haji Deposit is 60228 and a 15-digit TH savings account number is required to be entered as Ref-1.
JomPAY is supported by 28 banks in Malaysia through internet banking platforms.
