Taiwanese tourist found drowned in Langkawi lake

A Taiwanese tourist was found drowned in Tasik Pulau Dayang Bunting here this afternoon.
A team of divers from the Langkawi Fire and Rescue Department fished out the body of Chiu Yan Lin, 20, about noon from the 10-metre deep lake.
The department's operations chief, Mohamad Zabidi Che Teh said the body was sent to the Langkawi Hospital.
Meanwhile, Langkawi police chief Supt Harrith Kam Abdullah said initial investigations revealed no foul play in the foreigner's death.
He said the victim did not wear any safety jacket when he jumped into the lake.
He said the victim, who was accompanied by his girlfriend fom Penang, had arrived in Langkawi yesterday and stayed at Pulau Cenang before coming to the lake this morning.
