KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia (Gerakan) Youth delegates during their 33rd conference last night passed seven resolutions covering issues such as vaccination, unemployment, and employability.
One of the resolutions adopted in the conference, held virtually, was to raise awareness among youths in the country to take part in the National Covid-19 Immunisation Program.
Gerakan Youth would also help educate people on how to register for the programme as well as raise awareness of fake news and fake vaccination sold on the internet.
The delegates also urged the government to implement a multitude of initiatives and more public-private partnerships in tackling global youth unemployment due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Besides that, the wing also agreed to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship to productively employ youth.
They also suggested that employability skills training programmes should be adopted in order to help local communities to develop their employability and skills to acquire jobs in the future.
The conference was held virtually.
