The cause of death of the Indonesian maid and two children, whose throats were believed to have been slit in the tragic incident in Taman Sri Putra, Sungai Buloh on Tuesday, was confirmed as "incised wound to the neck".

Sungai Buloh district police chief Supt Junaidi Bujang said the matter was informed to the police after the post-mortem, conducted by the Sungai Buloh Hospital, was completed at 8 pm Wednesday.

"The hospital also confirmed that the maid, aged 30, committed suicide because there were indications she tried to kill herself, such as stab wounds on the front of the body of the deceased.

"Three wounds are also found at the right side of the throat before she killed herself by slitting it," he said when contacted here tonight.

In the incident that occurred between 8 am and 6 pm yesterday, two boys, aged 18 months and five years, were killed, believed to have been slit to death by their maid before she killed herself.

The incident was discovered at about 6 pm after the victims' grandmother returned home and found her 18-month old grandson and the maid dead in the maid's room while the older grandson's body was found at the top floor.

Junaidi said there was no sign of a break-in while the four dogs reared by the family did not bark during the incident.
