Tan Sri Aishah Ghani passes away

UMNO Veteran and former first woman Senator in the country, Tan Sri Aishah Ghani, 90 passed away today.

According to her grandson, Ahmad Arif Astaman, the late Tan Sri Aishah Ghani who was also a former UMNO’s Women’s Wing chairlady died at Gleneagles Hospital at 12.50pm due to old age.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister and UMNO president, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in an official UMNO website sent his condolence regards to the family members and relatives of Tan Sri Aishah Ghani.

She held a post of UMNO’s Women’s Wing chairlady from 1972 until 1984.

Her body will be laid to rest at 6pm today at Bukit Kiara Muslim Cemetery.
