Tanjong Karang boat capsize: Another body retrieved

Authorities today retrieved another victim of the Tanjong Karang boat tragedy, bringing the total number of bodies found to six.
The recovery was confirmed by the Fire Authority of the Selangor Branch Operations Management, Mustakim Rimon who said that the body was found two kilometres away from the location where the boat capsized.
The victim’s body, Parianathan Arjunan was identified by his family members.
Efforts are still ongoing to find the last victim, Shankar Gunasegaran who went missing following the incident.
The boat carrying 14 people comprising nine family members and five crew left Sungai Kajang jetty at 3 pm on Thursday to conduct a scattering of ashes ceremony at sea.
Two hours later, it was reported the boat capsized while on its way back.
Five bodies of victims from Sungai Buluh, Selangor had been recovered on Friday.
Seven people were saved by local fishermen.
