The Magistrate's Court here today ordered the two daughters of a prime suspect in the gruesome murders of at least four people in a workshop in Tapah to be placed under the protection of the Social Welfare Department (JKM).
Magistrate Nurul Nadia Abdul Razak issued the order following an application by the department to protect the two girls, one aged 11 and the other 23.
Tapah district police chief Superintendent Som Sak Din Keliaw said the Social Welfare Department applied for protection of the girls after police referred them to the department.
He said the suspect and three other members of the family would be brought to the court tomorrow.
