Tattooed man found dead in plantation

The body of a man with burns was found near a Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) substation at an oil palm plantation at Kampung Bukit Chong, near Sungai Karangan, Kulim, this morning.
According to Kedah CID chief ACP Mohd Nashir Ya, the body of the man, believed to be in his 20s was found by three Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) staff who went to inspect the substation at about 10.45am.
He said the victim who had tattoos on his body and right arm was found face down with his hands tied at the back and a cloth wrapped around his throat.
Police investigation found several slash marks on the victims head with burns from stomach to legs.
The body was sent to Hospital Kulim for post-mortem.
The case is investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for muder.

Yesterday, a man with severe burns was found dead, believed to have been beaten up elsewhere before he was set on fire at an oil palm plantation at Jalan Kebun Cherang Tuli, Pasir Puteh.
Following the incident, six suspects including a woman were detained for an hour to facilitate investigations.
