Team Malaysia Youth All Girl shines at the International Cheerleading Cup 2024

FRESH off their recent victory securing 3rd place competing against other national teams last week in 2023 ICU World Cheerleading Championships, Team Malaysia Youth All Girl has once again showcased their outstanding talent and dedication to excellence at the International Cheerleading Cup (ICC) 2024. Held on April 29, 2024, this prestigious event brought together top cheerleading teams from around the globe to compete for the coveted title under the Youth All-Girl Median division.

The International Cheerleading Cup (ICC) welcomes club teams globally, while the World Cheerleading Championships (WCC) exclusively feature national teams. ICC embraces club-level competition, whereas WCC showcases the talent of national squads. Both events celebrate cheerleading's athleticism and teamwork, fostering camaraderie on an international scale.

Against fierce competition from teams such as Mexico All Star Youth All Girl (Mexico), Tricolor ECU (Ecuador), and Orion All Stars Youth All Girl (Chile), Team Malaysia Youth All Girls emerged triumphant, securing the 1st place spot and solidifying their status as one of the world’s leading cheerleading teams.

This remarkable achievement is a testament to the hard work, perseverance, and exceptional talent of the young athletes, aged 12 - 15 years old, who make up Team Malaysia Youth All Girl. Their dedication to excellence and unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in cheerleading have not only brought pride to the nation but also showcased the immense potential of Malaysian youth on the global stage.

The Cheerleading Association & Register of Malaysia (CHARM), the national body for cheerleading, extends their heartfelt gratitude to YB Hannah Yeoh, the Ministry of Youth & Sports, the Ministry of Education, and all the team’s sponsors for their unwavering support throughout the team’s journey.
