Teenage girl stabs father for not allowing same-sex relationship

A man almost died after being stabbed by his daughter in an incident at their home in Taman Desa Bakti, Jinjang, here this morning.

Sentul police chief Assistant Commissioner R.Munusamy when contacted said the incident occurred after the suspect became furious because her father did not approve of her relationship with a girl.

"Initial investigations revealed that during the dispute, the suspect allegedly took a kitchen knife and stabbed her own father twice on the neck.

"The suspect, an 18-year-old teen has been arrested and the case is being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code," he said.

He said, shortly after the incident, the 45-year-old victim was then rushed by a family member to seek treatment at the Selayang Hospital.

According to a report by Bernama, the suspect was believed to be mentally-deranged.
