A teenager drowned while his father is believed to suffer the same fate when a fishing boat they were in, capsized near Pangkalan Kampung Muhibbah, Kuala Baram Lama at 10.40pm last night.
Miri Fire and Rescue Department chief Law Poh Kiong said the body of the 18-year-old identified as Stewart Rumpun was recovered at 8.22am this morning.
"His father Rumpun Pungat aged 68 is still missing," said Law here today.
He said the skipper was believed to have made a sudden turn against strong winds which instead caused the boat to capsize.
"Two other men in the boat aged 47 and 48 managed to swim to safety," he said, adding that the operation to locate the missing man was ongoing.
