Over 20 areas in Petaling will experience temporary water supply disruption from Oct 25, due to the replacement of water distribution equipment at Kota Damansara pond, the former site of Caltex Jalan Sungai Buloh and Sungai Buloh Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) bus stop.
Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) said in a statement on Friday that the equipment replacement work would begin at 9am Oct 25 until 2pm Oct 26.
"Among areas to be affected are Saujana Utama, Bukit Saujana, Sungai Buloh Country Resort, Sierramas, PJU 10 Damansara Damai, PJU 10 Saujana Damansara, PJU 10 Prima Damansara, Kusta Hospital, Kampung Desa Aman, Kg Masjid Sg Buloh, Forestry Department quarters, Jalan Hospital Sg Buloh, Bandar Baru Sg Buloh and TBS Komersial U20.
"Also to be affected are SB Jaya, Kg Selamat, Kg Merbau Sempak, Sungai Buloh Prison, Sg Buloh toll plaza, Kg Baru Sg Buloh, Kg Paya Jaras, Sungai Buloh KTM, Paya Jaras Army Camp, Kg Kubu Gajah, PJU 10 Dialysis Centre and Damai Medical Centre," said the statement.
Hence consumers are advised to stock up enough water before Oct 25, and they can refer to Syabas' website at www.syabas.com.my or 'mySyabas' mobile application for any information. -- Bernama
