Temuan Takdir: We All Meet Our Fate Eventually
We had the privilege of sitting down with some of the brilliant people behind Temuan Takdir, a film by first-time director-producer, Dhyan Vimal and starring Zahim Albakri, Vanidah Imran, Azura Zainal, Thanuja Ananthan, Ery Zukhairi, Amai Kamarudin, Malieq Abdullah and Kiranjit Kaur. It’s a thrilling, action-packed police movie about solving crimes centred around a security van heist.The film has two striking features; one is that it has a subtle yet powerful message of duty, love and the deep bond of brotherhood which shows the humanity of policemen behind their uniforms of ‘steel’. It also highlights to the viewers the fundamental question: is the harmony and peace of our nation, the responsibility or obligation of the police alone?
Dhyan Vimal is also the founder-chairman of Friends to Mankind which is an international non-profit organisation that is headquartered in Canada and present in over 15 countries. Friends to Mankind works towards the betterment of humanity and they launched ‘Project Dignity’ globally last year, which is an initiative that empowers individuals to learn life skills through mentorship programmes, internships, practical training and workshops in various fields of work and areas of expertise.

Vimal discovered film-making to be an outstanding way to create opportunities for many to be part of this exhilarating industry, and believes it to be a great way to transform communities. Many new actors, on-set crew, admin and production crew, and promotions crew were all first-timers and were given opportunities to learn on the set of Temuan Takdir.
Temuan Takdir will open in cinemas nationwide on August 11 following the red carpet premiere on August 8 2016.
