Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said today he is prepared to give a statement to the police for having allegedly said that the Penang government is marginalising the Malays.
Tengku Adnan said he had received a call from the police after Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng made a police report today asking him to explain the statement which the MP regarded as unfounded and serious.
"The police will come to see me or I will be asked to see them to give a statement. No problem," he said to reporters after attending a Chinese New Year open house organised by his ministry here.
Tengku Adnan hit out at the opposition for their allegedly not having read his statement in full and causing a misunderstanding among the people.
"I said all communities were being marginalised in Penang, but they (the opposition) picked up only the Malays part. Please read my statement properly.
