Tengku Adnan: Various development projects for local community at Putrajaya

Federal Territories Ministry and Perbadanan Putrajaya (PPj) have planned various development projects for the wellbeing and comfort of its local community.

Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said among the projects being implemented were the construction of private university (Universiti Herriot Watt), a parking lot project at Presint 4 and upgrading the community surau project.

"Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak too has announced the development of 10,336 housing units for the 1Malaysia Civil Servant Housing Programme (PPA1M) at Putrajaya.

"The first phase will involve more than 5,000 housing units to be built in the fourth quarter of 2013 and expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2015," he said in a speech at a breaking of fast ceremony with constituents of 13 parliamentary constituencies in the federal terrorities here, on Thursday.

He added that other projects being implemented were the construction of kindergarten/nursery in view of the shortage these two facilities/centre due to the high demand and PPj had identified the kindergarten lots with Putrajaya Holding (PjH) to take over and developed by PPj itself.

Earlier, a total of 896 people within the Federal Territory received Ramadan aid.
